Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Position Purpose: Plans and oversees the configuration of software and infrastructure services on the cloud platform. Manages cloud infrastructure as code. Automates deployment and administration. Ensures security of cloud components. Collaborates with the DevOps team to manage and lead upgrades, enhancements, and software migrations to drive the successful deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications.

• Builds and support the administration of cloud-based environments
• Develops and executes code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure based on standards and best-practices provided
• Develops and implements monitoring solutions that give greater visibility into performance and reliability of cloud environments
• Collaborates with Development, Network and Security groups and integrate their requirements in all environment build plans
• Builds and maintains capacity plans to include cloud based deployments
• Develops and implements technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
• Delivers continuous integration and delivery pipeline and standards by enabling common DevSecOps tooling in cloud environment and providing development teams with the ability to execute builds, run tests, and deploy in automated fashion
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

• One or more of the following skills are desired.
• Experience with one or more of the following Other: Cloud Formation, Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
• Experience with one or more of the following Amazon Web Services; Ansible
• Experience with Other: Puppet
• Experience with one or more of the following Other: programming languages such as Java, C, Scala, Python, Erlang, Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, etc.
• Experience with Other: networking and firewall concepts and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Other: automation languages such as Shell Scripting, Python, Golang, etc.

Soft Skills:

• Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty

Pay Range: $87, $161,300.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
