More than 200 million people across Europe come to TikTok to express themselves, be entertained, learn new skills, and grow businesses. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our TikTok Shop Communications team as a Senior Manager in France.

In this fast-paced role, you will develop and lead communications strategies for TikTok Shop in France, managing both proactive storytelling and reactive communications. TikTok Shop is TikTok's e-commerce solution fully integrated into the app, and is available in European markets such as France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain.

In this exciting role, you'll showcase how TikTok Shop is making a positive impact for sellers, creators, small businesses and larger brands in France, spotlight how we're building a positive shopping experience for our community and demonstrate our commitment to creating a safe and positive platform experience.

The ideal candidate is motivated, has excellent media relations skills, strong judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally. You will work closely with our government relations team in the region, with a clear understanding of the political and regulatory landscape that allows you to anticipate and respond to risks, challenges, and opportunities. You should be confident in distilling and communicating complex issues, creating clear messaging frameworks, talking points, and other assets that bring our story to life.

Responsibilities:

• Lead TikTok Shop communications efforts in France, and be the first point of contact for local TikTok Shop operations and business teams.

• Craft clear, compelling narratives that advance TikTok Shop's business goals and resonate with sellers, creators, and buyers.

• Build and protect TikTok Shop's reputation in the region, shaping narratives that highlight our cultural, economic and social impact.

• Anticipate and manage reputational risks linked to emerging policy debates or broader corporate issues

• Build strong relationships with top-tier nationals and trade press, proactively securing coverage, managing inquiries, and managing sensitive news cycles and issues as they arise.

• In partnership with market comms leads in France, handle inbound press inquiries and engage with media on a range of issues.

• Review TikTok Shop externally facing content in French including seller communications, presentations, seasonal promotions, logistics updates and more for accuracy and reputational risks.

• Train and coach local market executives and subject-matter experts, equipping them with concise messaging for interviews and in-person events. Staff interviews and events on site.

• Work cross-functionally with regional and global communications teams based on regional and market needs to drive clear narratives about our business product, partnerships and vision.

• Serve as the primary Comms POC for local XFN partners (marketing, operations, policy, legal, creator partnerships), ensuring message alignment and advising on market trends, potential risks, and opportunities specific to the French market.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken French and English required as English is the company's official working language and will be needed to support discussions with cross regional partners.

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required

• Proven understanding of the French media landscape and strong understanding of political, regulatory and cultural contexts in France

• Deep understanding of public opinions and media sentiment about commerce

• An excellent communicator who can successfully build relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications

• A highly resilient team player who can lead projects and strong project management skills

• Experience handling sensitive issues

• Experience working in cross-border, multi-cultural environment is preferred

• Ability to cope well and gain trust with internal stakeholders, proven track record of working in a dynamic and large organization is preferred

• Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and cross-cultural environments, with a strong sense of ownership and self-motivation.

• Understanding of the e-commerce + marketplace landscape as well as knowledge and experience of e-commerce products is preferred
