Freelance Java Full Stack Developer – IT Shared Services
Contract:
Freelance / Contractor – 6-month rolling
Location:
Paris (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
A leading financial services technology organization, operating in a collaborative and Agile environment.
Join a dynamic IT team as a Freelance Java Full Stack Developer, contributing to the ongoing support and enhancement of critical business platforms. This senior, hands-on role is ideal for those who can work independently, quickly integrating into the team to deliver high-quality solutions. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Designing, developing, and delivering new features and fixes to existing applications.
- Performing impact analysis and providing accurate effort estimates.
- Ensuring high standards of code quality and compliance.
- Applying clean code principles, test-driven development (TDD), and thorough unit testing across the software development lifecycle.
- Contributing to and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Taking part in Agile ceremonies, including Scrum meetings and sprint planning.
- Supporting onboarding and sharing knowledge with team members.
- Encouraging continuous improvement in tools, practices, and delivery workflows.
Key Skills
- Java with Spring Boot (2.3)
- Angular 8/9
- Shell scripting (ksh)
- Strong Oracle SQL / PL/SQL
- Test-driven development (TDD), unit testing, and clean code practices
- Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube
- Bitbucket
- Solid Git knowledge
- Expertise in Agile delivery (Scrum, user stories)
- Experience working with enterprise or shared-services teams
