While this technology is still at its infancy, these DNA Data Storage Servers target the storage of massive amount of data (Exabytes) with a very long retention life-time (> 100 years) within an attractive capex and opex budget.Headquartered in Paris, Biomemory aims at serving the fast-growing international "cold-storage" market.After securing a €17M Series A in early 2025, we are now entering a high-growth phase, aiming to more than double our team from 25 to 50 by the beginning of 2026.Join us in rewriting the future of data storage About the JobYour missions The position involves being part of and supporting the Molecular Biology and Automation team, a highly motivated team committed to quality and precision, working in a very stimulating environment, on a highly ambitious project.The research assistant's activities consist of:Conducting daily molecular biology and biochemistry experiments in the laboratory,Performing manual bench tests,Launching automated experiments on liquid handlers (Hamilton, Opentrons)Running quality controls pre and post experiments (UV absorbance spectrophotometry, fluorescence-based quantification, capillary electrophoresis, library prep & sequencing….)Protocol optimization,SOP writing,Results presentation,ReportingThe research assistant will work closely with the entire team, composed of scientists, automation specialists, engineers, and technicians, all working together toward the same objectives.About youThis job is made for you if you have:DUT, Bachelor's, BTS in molecular biology, biochemistry or a related field,About 10 years of experience in laboratory , and more than 5 year experience in the private sectorTheoretical knowledge and extensive experience in molecular biology,Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills,Ability to work independently with strong autonomy in task execution and reportingProficiency in writing technical and scientific documentation ,Strong communication skills in English and French,A good team spirit and the ambition to make Biomemory a success.What would be a plus:Experience in automating molecular biology processes using liquid handlers (e.g. Hamilton, OpenTron),Experience with 3rd generation sequencing ,Skills in quality control process, implementation and follow up.Be proactive in suggesting new technologies to try out in order to optimize and improve our processes.Softskills we are looking for:Teamwork, team spiritAutonomous and ability to work effectively,Demonstrated proactivity,Organizational skills,Critical thinking, technical rigour,Solution oriented,Openness to constructive feedbacks,Communication and knowledge sharing skills,Intellectual and personal rigor.Good to knowThe position isonsite, based at our office located at5 Impasse Reille in Paris. This setup supports our mission to tackle the challenges of DNA synthesis and writing, encouraging interdisciplinary teamwork and innovation.Early 2026, our offices will relocate to a new headquarters in the center of Paris (Jussieu metro station).
