Job DescriptionThis is a remote position.Galileo is afast-growing renewable energy developer, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over16 GWofsolarPV,onshore wind,offshore windandstorageprojects across10 marketsin Europe.We are looking for our newGIS Specialist/Managerto analyse areas all across Poland with the goal to identify suitable land plots for Solar PV, BESS, and onshore wind developments. This person will either workfull-remotelyor will be based in our office inPoznań(with the possibility of hybrid remote working).What You'll DoPerform detailed feasibility studies on opportunities originated within Galileo's Business Development Team, or proposed by Galileo's partners;Conduct environmental assessments of sites and projects, taking into account all relevant constraints across multiple levels (i.e. municipal, provincial, regional and national);Stay up-to-date with the legislation related to renewable energy developments in Poland;Support Galileo's Business Development Team in defining the suitable project areas, as well as in managing the permitting processes;Maintain and extend your professional qualifications and skillset as needed to adapt to our expanding business focus and needs.RequirementsWhat you'll need:Master's degree or bachelor's degree in environmental planning, landscape architecture, urban planning, engineering, geography, or equivalent experience;At least 4 years of experience in territorial screening and analysis of cadastral parcels across Poland, especially in the renewable sector;Knowledge of GIS software (e.g. QGIS) and CAD systems;Knowledge of, and ability to keep up to date with, the Polish administrative legislation related to the development of renewable energy projects;Native Polish speaker (or equivalent) and with good knowledge of English;Project management and goal-oriented mindset, effectiveness and tenacity to achieve targets;Clear, logical and helpful communication style, with an ability to dig into the detail as well as step-back and communicate the bigger picture pragmatically and succinctly.BenefitsWhy join us?Be at the forefront of Galileo's developments;Work on interesting and ambitious renewable energy projects;Enjoy an international environment, with opportunities for exchange with colleagues all over Europe, and thrive in an informal culture that values collaboration and innovation;Benefit from a competitive salary, flexible remote-working policy, and a supportive, fast-paced environment.Our commitment to diversity and inclusion: Galileo is a new and flexible employer, committed to providing equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for all.
