This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Backend Engineer in France. This role offers the opportunity to lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge backend systems for high-impact software projects. You will work with cloud-based architectures, scalable microservices, and AI/ML-enabled applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including ML specialists and product engineers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and has a passion for building robust, reliable, and efficient backend solutions. As a key technical leader, you will influence architectural decisions, guide development standards, and mentor team members while contributing directly to high-profile client projects. This fully remote role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to work with a globally diverse engineering team. Accountabilities:
  • Lead backend development initiatives, designing and deploying scalable, distributed systems and microservices
  • Build and maintain APIs, cloud-based solutions, and CI/CD pipelines for production-grade software
  • Integrate AI/ML models and services into backend systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ML models and product requirements into backend solutions
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members and guiding architectural and coding best practices
  • Contribute to client-facing projects, ensuring high-quality software delivery and alignment with business goals
