Computational Medicine Scientist (H/F)

By joining Servier's dynamic team of bioinformaticians, biostatisticians, and data scientists, you will contribute to the different phases of drug research and development. Your work will directly support the validation of therapeutic targets and the identification of biomarkers, leveraging high-dimensional biomedical data (multi-omics, clinical, pharmacological) with state-of-the-art data science approaches (machine learning, data mining, cloud computing). You will play a key role in Servier's translational medicine strategy, shaping analytics solutions to accelerate the development of new cancer therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, integrate, and visualize omics, clinical, and pharmacological data to support oncology R&D and translational research projects.
  • Validate and prioritize candidate targets, including tumor heterogeneity studies with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data.
  • Identify biomarkers and stratify patients for therapeutic projects, supporting indication and subpopulation selection in early development.
  • Supervise trainees or PhD/postdoctoral researchers as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, IT) and external partners.
  • Summarize, interpret, and communicate results in clear English reports.

Profile

  • PhD in bioinformatics, biostatistics, or data sciences, with 2+ years of experience in single-cell or spatial transcriptomics data analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in R and/or Python; experience with code sharing and versioning.
  • Proficiency in Linux, HPC, and cloud computing environments.
  • Solid background in molecular biology and oncology.
  • Proven track record applying data science (machine learning, AI) to translational research.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in multidisciplinary collaborations.
