Our clients are generally major players in their sector, whether in France, Europe, Asia, or North America.Building on our experience, we aim to grow our activity and client base in Europe, across the entire value chain of the Energy sector (electricity, renewable energies, gas, offshore, etc.), both for the short-term or the long-term (weather risks/impacts/climate impacts).To this end, we are looking aSenior Data Scientist for Products and Services Development in the Energy Sectorto strengthen our teams to take on new challengesYou will report to Operations Leader for the Energy team based in Paris, which is integrated into the European "Climate and Resilience" division. You will have two main missions:Consultant for the Energy team's clients : you will be responsible for the entire client relationship, from the pre-sales phase to the implementation and follow-up of services, including consulting and training.Solutions and Innovation Consultant for the "Climate and Resilience" division with a focus on Energy: you will improve existing products & services and develop new ones with the support of multidisciplinary, European, and Japanese teams.Your responsibilities will be as follows:Client RelationsYou work in close collaboration with the sales department to understand the client's real need and develop client proposals (specifications, calls for tender, PoC, back-testing, etc.)You are the initial point of contact during the implementation of solutions at the client site and support them in operating the delivered services on a very regular basis (training, support, workshops, etc.).Conception and Implementation of Client Solutions and ServicesIn collaboration with the business line and different teams, you identify and analyze data sources and define the processing to be applied to them.You define the best models to meet the client's needs and develop, train and deploy these algorithms . (including internal solutions, advanced Machine Learning algorithms, Deep Learning, etc.).You verify with your expertise that this response aligns with the specifications.You implement indicators for the client to monitor and evaluate the performance of the solution (KPIs, dashboards, etc.)You work in close collaboration with the IT department for the implementation of solutions and the monitoring of results: Proof of Concept, deployment and production launch, operational maintenance, etc.Innovation and New Product DevelopmentYou participate in the ideation process and improvements for both new and existing products , thanks to your detailed knowledge of them, client feedback, discussions with different teams, and developments/trends in the energy sector.You carry out a scientific and technological watch in your domain or related fields particularly on machine learning algorithms or developments in the energy sector.You test these new techniques or algorithms to evaluate their quality and robustness according to relevant quality indicators for the field of application.You participate in the IT implementation of these objects , concepts, and models in existing tools/services or with a view to creating new ones, in collaboration with the IT, sales, and European teams.You design and work with AI-enabled front-end interfaces and tools , collaborating closely with development teams to deliver intuitive and differentiated user experiences for diverse stakeholders (e.g., traders, analysts, operators, risk managers, executives).You ensure that all models and solutions are scalable, high-performance, and aligned with business outcomes as well as Weathernews' strategic direction in the European energy sector.Are you interested in this position?You have aData Scientist profilewith a strong taste for business and industrial applications. Ideallywith at least 5 years of experienceand aconcrete experience in the Energy sector(Electricity, Renewable Energies, Gas, Offshore, etc.).You havereal experience in "client" relationsin the broadest sense (internal or external clients).You like "client" contact, you know how to listen and understand, you express yourself well, and you know how to analyze needs.You have strong expertise inadvanced Machine Learning / Deep Learning model development and deployment, including forecasting, optimization, risk assessment, anomaly detection/correction,...You havedevelopment skillsin a collaborative environment includingCloud environmentandPythonprogramming.You can work withAI agents and design workflow automations as well as create scalable, user-focused AI solutionsaligned with business needs.You have akeen sense of collaborative workandattention to detail.Real soft skills will be crucialfor your integration into our company and successful completion of your missions (team spirit, effective communication, adaptability/sense of compromise, autonomy, positivity and innovative thinking).You haveprofessional proficiency in Englishdemonstrated by internationally recognized tests (C1 level or TOEIC score >940).
