Company Description

Jumpstart Science empowers scientists to transform early-stage ideas into impactful startups. We provide pro bono, hands-on support to biotech, medtech, and digital health founders at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey. Our focus spans business model development, market and competitive analysis, regulatory strategy and fundraising.

Jumpstart Science exists to provide clarity, momentum, and strategic direction to promising scientific innovations, helping them progress confidently toward real-world application and long-term impact.

Opportunity

We are building the founding leadership team of Jumpstart Science and are seeking Co-Founders with complementary expertise to help shape the organization's strategy, offerings, and long-term vision.

This is a
part-time, remote, equity-based role

suited for professionals motivated by impact, entrepreneurship, and the advancement of scientific innovation. As part of the equity-sharing model, co-founders should be willing to contribute at least EUR 2,500 in initial startup capital to support setup and early operating needs.

Co-Founder and Consulting / Business Development Partner

You will help define Jumpstart Science's strategic positioning and growth model.

Key contributions include expanding the customer base, supporting early-stage founders with market analysis, fundraising narratives and business development/commercial support, engaging with investors and potential clients, and contributing to outreach and long-term sustainability.

Ideal background includes management consulting, business development, venture capital, startup leadership, or high-growth entrepreneurial environments.

Co-Founder and CTO

You will lead the technical and innovation perspective of the organization.

Key contributions include evaluating technical feasibility, advising on product development and technology roadmaps, supporting founders in digital health, medtech, AI, or deep-tech domains, and translating complex technical concepts into clear business and investor narratives.

Ideal background includes engineering, computer science, medical devices, digital health, AI, or deep-tech innovation.

Co-Founder Regulatory and IP Consultant

You will guide regulatory and IP considerations across supported ventures.

Key contributions include advising on FDA and EMA regulatory pathways, supporting patent and licensing strategies, aligning regulatory, clinical, and commercialization planning, and helping founders anticipate regulatory milestones and risks early.

Ideal background includes regulatory affairs, healthcare compliance, IP strategy, biotech, medtech, or pharmaceutical environments.
