, we are building the cognitive and emotional engine that AI has been missing. While generative AI predicts word sequences, we build systems that maintain explicit representations of beliefs, goals, intentions, emotions, and personality.

Our first product,
Simone
, is not a chatbot, she's an
AI coaching partner
grounded in cognitive science. By building a living mental map of a user's world, Simone helps women navigate complex career crossroads and life transitions with long-term memory and emotional intelligence.

Based in Paris, we're a Deeptech labeled startup and supported by a world-class scientific committee (CNRS, Northeastern), we are currently raising our pre-seed round and staffing the founding team that will launch Simone to the world.

Our ambition: launch Simone (B2C) in late 2026, then deploy our cognitive engine as a SaaS platform (B2B) to transform how humans and machines interact.

The Role

You'll be the
first frontend engineer
, working directly with the 3 co-founders: Margot (CTO), Marie (CPO) and Thibaut (CEO).

You'll sit at the frontier between cognitive AI and human experience. Our backend runs belief networks, emotional appraisal models, long-term memory graphs and you'll have to turn that into an experience that feels fluid, reassuring and engaging.

What You'll Do

• Architecture & Scalability:
  Lay the foundations for a robust frontend starting as a B2C mobile/webapp and evolving to our B2B dashboard.
• Creative design:
  We have to invent what an "empathetic" interface means in the context of AI coaching with new interaction patterns: How to show the user a visual map of what the AI knows about her, how to visualize a relationship evolving over months, etc.
• Make the invisible useful:
  As we're building a living model of the user's values, constraints and life phases, we need to surface this in positive ways that help build trust and show progress over time while avoiding surveillance anxiety.
• Set the Quality Bar:
  Establish high standards from day 1: CI/CD, testing, WCAG accessibility. You're the guardian of the quality our users experience.

  How do we create conversation interfaces that feel natural and help our users progress in their coaching journey ?

  Our models detect emotional states, how do we build interfaces that will adapt to this?
• Complexity under the hood, simplicity on the surface:
  How do we make an app feel instant and reliable while complex cognitive models run underneath and can surface conversations from 3 months ago ?

About YouWhat the Role Requires

We're looking for a
product-minded engineer:
someone who loves code, but loves solving user problems even more.

• 5+ years
  of frontend development experience, with meaningful time in a startup or on a SaaS/mobile product.
• Deep expertise
  in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Design sensitivity
  : you can take UX/UI initiative and you're meticulous about visual details.
• Clean Code mindset
  : you care about CI/CD, testing, and maintainability.
• Values alignment
  : ethical AI, inclusion, and social impact resonate with you. You want your work to matter.

Bonus Points

• React Native experience.
• Experience with complex SaaS environments or you've built interfaces for AI products before.
• Experience with real-time/streaming interfaces (we use LangGraph).
• You've thought about AI ethics beyond the headlines.
