Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France Weebit Nano Temps plein
Job Location

Grenoble, France

Job Brief

To support our growth, we are looking for a Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer to join our team in Grenoble. This position is ideal for an intermediate-level profile looking to develop their skills in DevOps and internal tool development, with a high degree of autonomy but without the pressures of managing critical production infrastructure. You will join a small technical team with clearly defined areas of responsibility, where you will have your own domain of ownership while still being able to rely on the expertise of other team members whenever needed.

Job Description

In this role, you will support the electrical test and integrated circuit (IC) design teams by developing and maintaining internal tools tailored to their needs. You will also contribute to the administration of our internal development infrastructure. Your work will help improve workflows, automate key tasks, and streamline R&D activities. As the role focuses exclusively on internal infrastructure, it does not involve any customer-facing systems and therefore entails no on-call duties.

As this role involves a diverse set of tasks, your responsibilities fall into three main categories:

DevOps

  • After a transition period, take ownership of the infrastructure supporting our internal tools (Debian/RHEL servers hosted on-premise and on AWS)
  • Maintain and enhance the company's PostgreSQL database
  • Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines for our internal tools (GitHub Actions)

Software Development

  • Collaborate on the development and evolution of internal web applications (TypeScript, Svelte, ExpressJS) used by technical teams
  • Contribute to the creation of internal tools to support electrical testing and data processing
  • Automate certain test tasks and contribute to data analysis tools (Python, depending on profile)

Continuous Improvement & Technical Support

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of workflows and propose solutions that meet user needs
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to internal infrastructure, tools, or data
  • Work closely with the test and design teams to understand their requirements and address them effectively
Required Skills and Experience

Expected Core Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and at least one modern front-end framework (Svelte, Angular, React, etc.)
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure management (Linux servers, AWS, containers, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Ability to gather user needs and translate them into practical, maintainable solutions
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and learn quickly
  • Fluency in both French and English to collaborate effectively with international teams

Preferred Experience

  • Experience contributing to internal web tools or engineering productivity tools within the semiconductor industry
  • Familiarity with Python and Pandas for data processing and automation
