About the Role:
Alice & Bob is transitioning from a cutting-edge research lab to a product-focused quantum computing company. As part of this transformation, we're creating Quantum HPC, a new team bridging technical expertise and customer engagement.
We're looking for a Quantum Hardware & Physics Specialist to join this team. You will play a key role in technical conversations with HPC centers, our natural early adopters and help shape how our superconducting "cat qubits" are understood, integrated, and used.
Responsibilities:Lead technical meetings with HPC clients and partnersPresent our core technology: superconducting cat qubits, roadmap to FTQC, integration challengesConvey complex scientific ideas and the vision of Alice & Bob to technical and non-technical audience in a clear and accessible manner (in talks, hackathons, workshops, meetings…)Prepare high-quality technical content: briefs, diagrams, comparison tools, slidesContribute to internal work on machine development in accordance with your expertise: experiments, theory, specifications, cryogenics, RF, hardware/software stack…Interact with customers as a scientific expertHelp align our internal tech development with real-world constraints and needsRequirements:PhD or MSc in quantum physics, superconducting circuits, or similar field, with 3 years of experienceComfortable navigating between lab-level details and real-world applicationsExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
