Where will you be in the organization?

The division

You will join the Group Security division, defining the security standards to be applied by AXA entities, overseeing the overall security posture across the Group and providing centralized services to support entities (Crisis Management, Security Operations Centre, etc.).

Throughout AXA Group, the security community represents composed of 1000 security professionals, working daily to protect our customers, operations, brand and people. To achieve this, we have gathered our three security disciplines: Information Security, Physical Security and Operational Resilience.

Our main missions:

  • Monitor the Security Threat Landscape
  • Define and oversee Security Standards and Strategy implementation across the Group
  • Drive local security objectives with C-Level executive (COO, CIO, CTO, CFO…) of AXA entities
  • Ensure the security of Group Operations as an entity
  • Provide centralized security services and products to AXA entities

AXA Group Security is divided in 4 main blocks :

  • Corporate functions (Group Mandate) : Security Advisory and Standards, Security Governance, Security Risk & Assurance, Security Strategy and Awareness
  • CyberDefense (Group security services and products provider)
  • Group Operations Security (Security of the hosting entity)
  • Corporate Chief Security Officers (Oversight of entities' security) : Corporate Centre, European Markets, International Markets

The department / team

The AXA Cyber Defense department provides AXA Group with a cybersecurity solution: the teams deliver operational security services to protect, detect and respond to cyber threats that could impact the AXA Group. The team also ensures that Security principles are used, and that Products development and projects are aligned with Security strategy frameworks, as delivered by Group Security.

Part of it, into the "Network & Messaging product" team, an email gateway solution to secure and filter all the emails to and from Internet: this solution is entitled Secure Email, which is currently based on Proofpoint vendor.

The product supports around users, all AXA Group Operation datacentres and more than 40 operational compagnies.

The product is at the crossroad of major AXA GO programs and exposure of the product implies high visibility across the group.

About the job

Main missions

As part of the Cyber Defense, the "Secure Email" engineer is responsible for the Support of any activities related to the global product.

As senior Email Gateway expert you must have technical experience email security and delivery, strong collaboration, and customer relation skills to carry out all responsibilities below:

  • Technically advise and support SE Product management on the ownership and definition of the Product Strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle to ensure to serve the security objectives.
  • Technically advise, lead, and support technical discussion with Group security related to any topics related to the product

Technically advise, lead, and support any technical activity and improvement that may be set up on the proxy product and related to:

  • Policy configurations
  • Security reports requirement (who, what, when, how)
  • Performance improvement
  • Automation
  • New features
  • To support and advise the BAU service provider (Cap Gemini) on some level 3 activities and work closely with their L2 support teams to technically lead and advise them on their daily activities
  • To support, lead and manage incidents resolution related to web gateway daily operations.
  • Support and technically advise on new customers' demands and assess the technical sets-up on gateways configurations to answer the need
  • Prepare technical documentations and procedures to support the overall projects and BAU teams
  • Analyze user or application email activities for security purpose
  • To head up on the integration of the email gateway product with the overall AXA environment

More than a very strong technical competence, we need strong leadership and team spirit as you will be in relation with many teams:

  • Present product strategy to C-level
  • Work closely with CyberDefense teams on security request and issue
  • Work closely with project teams on AXA program, cloud migrations, etc
  • Work closely with vendor and provider to challenge, support, and align their service to the need
  • Work closely with others AXA product for any interaction that proxy may have with their own product
  • Work closely with workplace support teams to support email delivery issues

Expected skills & experience

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

  • Good technical knowledge and experience in cybersecurity in general.
  • IT standard technologies: DNS, Firewalling, Antimalware
  • +5 years experience in technical IT positions
  • Communication skills – Exhibits strong skills in listening, spoken and written communication in English
  • Openness and reaching out – Strong human relationship skills, exhibit curiosity and can see opportunities in situations, not just problems
  • International profile
