Product at NablaThe product team is a tight-knit group of builders, designers, and strategists. Together with engineering, we define and deliver high-impact tools that delight clinicians and solve their most pressing problems.
We are looking for our first Data Lead to define and own our data culture. You will sit at the intersection of Engineering and Product and will build the "Source of Truth" foundation that powers our product decisions, client reporting, and business operations. Our current stack is Looker, Mixpanel and BigQuery but we're open to adopting new tools, so we're looking for someone who is proactive and able to make strong recommendations.
ResponsibilitiesData modeling & reliability: Own the transformation layer to turn raw data into clean, documented, and reliable data models.
Strategic intelligence and insights: Partner directly with PMs and the leadership team to define key success metrics. You will build and own the company-wide dashboards and client reporting. You will perform complex analyses to uncover opportunities in product usage, operational efficiency, and broader business strategy.
Team enablement: Build a data environment that empowers PMs, CS, Sales and Finance teams to answer their own questions. Lead the vision and build Nabla's embedded analytics, ensuring our product delivers the right client-facing insights that drive adoption, engagement, and measurable value.
Technical bridge: Act as the bridge between product and engineering, translating business/client needs into scalable data solutions. You will work upstream with engineers to ensure we are tracking the right events in the right format to power downstream analytics.
3+ years of experience in data analytics or analytics engineering
Expert-level SQL skills, proficiency in Python and experience with modern transformation tools (e.g. DBT, Dataform…) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery) and product analytics tools (Mixpanel)
A "Engineer Mindset": you build pipelines with reliability in mind. You naturally incorporate validation, testing, and quality checks to ensure data is trustworthy and resilient. Comfortable with developer tooling: you can work in a terminal (bash/zsh), with git, run and adapt scripts, and understand the basics of CI/CD pipelines.
A "Product Mindset": you treat data tables and dashboards as internal products that need to be user-friendly, maintained, and iterated upon
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate messy data into a clear narrative using visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau…)
Clear and structured communicator, comfortable explaining technical data constraints to business stakeholders and explaining business context to engineers
Proven track record of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment (prior startup experience or "first data hire" experience is a strong plus)

Our offices are based in Paris 3e (Arts & Métiers) but we are open to have this position in NYC also.
Remote policy: 1 day a week (with some flexibility). Possibility of working remotely 1-2 weeks once a year.
