Job Purpose/ Role 

We are recruiting for an European Sustainability Intern as part of the European Sustainability team to further support the development and execution of the European ESG strategy for PIMCO Prime Real Estate.

Key responsibilities: 

ESG Strategy  Execution

·       Support local asset management colleagues in developing or refining asset-specific ESG strategies (e.g.,certifications, decarbonization and energy performance, biodiversity, etc.); and

·       Support business / product development initiatives and investor communication

ESG Initiatives & Tools

·       Participate in and monitor the implementation of ESG initiatives across the European portfolio;

·       Assist in the planning and delivery of ESG trainings for internal stakeholders; and

·       Manage ESG data and utilize analytics tools to help execute ESG strategy.

ESG Regulation & Reporting 

·       Keep abreast of key ESG trends and technological advancements in real estate;

·       Monitor regulatory requirements for ESG / sustainability across various topics such as building performanceor reporting requirements with a focus on local regulation; and

·       Contribute to thought leadership through active participation in industry initiatives and public consultations

Key requirements: 

·       Currently completing a Master's degree in sustainable development, management (sustainable/environmental), real estate, finance, economics, data science, data analytics, civil engineering, or architecture; ideally with an additional qualification in real estate;

·       Professional experience in real estate asset, portfolio, fund or investment management, real estate finance, data science, banking, project management, or consulting;

·       Knowledge of real estate investments/asset management and relevant (local) sustainability regulations;

·       Proficiency in MS Office suite, notably Excel and PowerPoint;

·       Attention to detail, strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy;

·       Strong written and oral communication skills;

·       Practicality and perseverance to complete projects and tasks, both collaboratively and individually;

·       Fluency in English is a prerequisite; fluency in French, German, or Spanish is highly desired; and

·       Ability to work in a dynamic multicultural business environment.
