**Join Us**

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Messaging & Ads team, a group of talented cross‑disciplinary engineers (Backend, iOS, Android, Frontend) whose mission is to build and optimize Deezer's advertising platforms, CRM communications, and key engagement features such as Concerts, Podcasts, and our Notification Center.

It have to be a Backend Developer with a passion for creating outstanding user experiences, an expert who combines technical brilliance to join our dynamic team. If you're ready to innovate and redefine the future of music streaming, this opportunity is for you

What you will do:

* Technical Leadership

• Mentor team members to grow their technical skills.

• Drive architectural improvements and set coding standards.

• Lead technical discussions and advocate best practices.

• Define and implement cross-stack solutions along with your team's members to solve customer's problems and reach company's objectives

• Work closely with Marketing teams to understand their needs and the tools they use

* Community & Collaboration

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

• Share knowledge across teams and represent the group in internal communities.

• 3+ years of experience in building high-traffic applications using PHP

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID design principles, and architecture in a Backend environment Knowledge of MySQL and how to optimize queries and database structures

• Experience in working on large and complex code bases at scale, in building high-traffic applications using PHP. 

• Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills.

• Excellent communication in English, both written and spoken.

• Manage deployments and monitor metrics using Git, Kubernetes (K8s) and Jenkins.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure performance, security, and maintainability.

• A mindset focused on code performance & quality 

• Knowledge of GO, GraphQL, TypeScript or Event Sourcing architecture is a big plus
