About This Role
The Senior Director, Original Content France, Italy, Spain (FRITES) will be responsible for the commercial success of a team of commissioners who oversee the selection, partner management, editorial development & creation of Audible Original Productions for these specific audiences. This role will guide the work of internal and external creatives, such as authors, editors and audio engineers, to create the best possible listening experience and commercial success for the multi-lingual productions. The role ensures a best in class working with Audible experience for our creators & talents in these territories.

This role reports into the Head of Regional Content, Europe based in the UK.

As a Senior Director, Original Content, you will...

• Lead a team of creative producers to deliver innovative, high-quality original listening experiences, from ideation to release, partnering with the Business Affairs, PR and Marketing teams to lead these projects to completion
• Identify creative opportunities in France, Italy, and Spain to reach new audiences and maximize revenue of our content investments, within the European content investment verticals, informed by our local customer preferences and global and regional content strategies
• Lead and extend our external partner network within the FRITES creative communities (e.g. producers, writers, actors, etc.) by constantly improving our customers' original listening experiences across these languages. This may include the establishment of writing rooms for all relevant content verticals
• Lead internal & external teams into a world class content creation unit, by elevating our spectrum & belonging goals, constantly improve the expertise, performance and well-being of the teams
• Leverage analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators (content testing, customer segmentation, market research, competitive benchmarking, etc.) and your team's local sense for "Zeitgeist" topics to constantly improve the cultural and commercial success of our Audible Originals
• Participate in the strategic and tactical development of our Global Original Content efforts with your peers from international & global Audible market places as voice of European Audible Original listeners & creators

In addition, the incumbent will be the President of the Audible Studios France entity SAS.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in creative leadership roles within media, publishing, or broadcasting industries
• People management experience with track record of leading creative teams in content creation
• Business process optimization experience using data-driven insights
• Business fluency in French and English
• Story development experience for European audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Established network within the European creative community
• Experience leading large creative teams or projects
• Strategic communication abilities across organizational levels
• Additional European language capabilities
• Experience in audio content development
• Track record of successful content innovation in multiple markets
