Clinical Sales Specialist (Bronchoscopy), Chile

Are you looking to make a difference in your career and become part of an innovative, global medical device company? Ambu is a global industry leader in single-use endoscopy with the soul of a startup. Our dedicated and passionate team members are driven by our mission to save lives and improve patient care through innovative medical devices and industry changing single-use scopes. We are led by our Values: Take Charge, Team Up, and Be True.

As part of our expansion plan driven by rapid growth in the LATAM region and in Chile and Argentina, Ambu is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Sales Specialist (Bronchoscopy) to join our Chile & Argentina team to be based in Santiago, reporting to the Business Development Manager (BDM) who is based in the same city.

In this role, you will be the key link between Ambu's single-use bronchoscopy solutions and healthcare professionals, hospitals, and distributor teams. Your mission is to drive clinical adoption, utilization, and growth by combining clinical excellence with strong commercial execution in the field. You will support account conversion from evaluation to routine use, strengthen key stakeholder relationships, and enable distributor performance, contributing directly to the expansion and positioning of Ambu's innovative single-use bronchoscopy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the business in Chile and Argentina, dedicating about 75% of the time to Chile and 25% to Argentina
  • Partner with BDM and distributor teams to identify, prioritize and develop target accounts, and to expand within existing accounts (new users, departments, and shifts)
  • Drive account conversion by supporting evaluations/trials, guiding clinical workflows, and ensuring a smooth transition to routine use
  • Deliver clinical education, product training and hands-on training on the proper use of Ambu bronchoscopes to physicians, nurses, and hospital staff – and to the distributors team when needed
  • Conduct field product demonstrations in both clinical and educational settings
  • Provide technical and clinical support on-site during medical procedures to ensure confidence, safety, and best practice use
  • Implement and follow adoption plans for converted accounts, including refresh trainings, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to sustain utilization
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships by promoting the Ambu value proposition with key opinion leaders, specialists, and hospital decision-makers
  • Promote the Ambu value story around single use versus reusable
  • Maintain strong knowledge of product/clinical technical competencies, clinical applications, and the competitive landscape, using this to support commercial discussions in the field
  • Identify clinical use opportunities and promote the adoption of single-use technology in both public and private institutions
  • Collaborate with the BDM and distributor leadership on strategic commercial initiatives, including account planning and key opportunity follow-up
  • Collect product and clinical feedback, gather market intelligence, and share insights to strengthen Ambu's positioning and execution

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experiences can be earned in many ways, and we understand that the ideal profile for this role cannot always be defined on paper. However, you are likely to succeed in this position if you hold a degree in, for example: biomedical engineering, nursing, or respiratory therapy. What will truly set you apart is your sales & clinical experience in a commercial setting and your drive to excel in the role.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role (technical sales, clinical support and/or medical education)
  • Knowledge of the hospital environment, preferably in pulmonology, anesthesiology, and/or intensive care
  • Familiarity with public tender processes (desired)
  • Strong interpersonal communication and public speaking skills
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit and strong business acumen
  • Takes initiatives and are proactive in your approach
  • Intermediate to advanced English
  • Availability to travel frequently within the country and to Argentina
  • Valid driver's license
