Job Description

Position: Sales Manager

General Summary:

Responsible for regional sales oversight, on-going support for sales team and implementing sales strategies in respective Region. This to include tracking of performance metrics including sales related to assigned goals and activities metrics. Responsibilities include sales related to all ELIX product categories, customer training and post-sales support.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing local sales forecasts and revenue generation.

  • Identifying areas of growth in assigned region including major account development, channel partner development and meeting defined revenue goals.

  • Participates in the development of the annual regional sales plan which reflects product specific growth targets and overall brand and category strategies, and ensures consistency with overall marketing plans and business growth goals within targeted Go Get accounts.
  • Provide regular updates and oversight to the Go Get tracking process. This to include active participation in developing Go Get tactical sales plan, monthly participation in Go Get Team update calls and required activities with Go Get customers in order to meet monthly sales objectives.
  • Establishes customer relationships, represents Company in the overall sales process, directs formal sales presentations and completes follow up correspondence and contacts with customers.
  • Monitors and tracks account performance indicators.

  • Continuously reviews and evaluates key metrics such as sales performance against budget, gross margins and competitive activity. Ensures that sales plans and promotions are effectively implemented, devises appropriate corrective actions, and leads the development of effective and efficient sales plans.

  • Maintains variety of contacts within ELIX to gather and exchange information related to sales goals and results, product availability and pricing, marketing strategies and plans and status of orders.
  • Is cognizant of significant trends and developments in field by monitoring competitor activities and products, trade magazines and associations, and feedback from customers. Regularly informs management of relevant developments, and disseminates related materials.
  • Collaborates with Senior VP, Sales, Marketing and Business Development; VP, Global Sales & Marketing; Product Managers and other cross functional teams to identify and support strategic targets.
  • Assists in special sales projects/promotions as requested.
  • Meet/Exceed annual sales goals and objectives.
  • Maintain professional relationship with customers and good customer relations especially through timely responsiveness and frequent contacts, both direct and indirect.
  • Attend assigned trade shows and conferences to promote and advance EnviroLogix and its products.
  • Provide assistance with product performance issues.
  • Initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with government entities and relevant industry leaders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market and changing developments in the sales field. Provide market intelligence to internal customers.
  • Perform all assigned duties with minimal supervision, as well as other duties that may occur.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated successful track record in working with and selling to large corporations.
  • Demonstrated successful track record in working in matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated track record in working within complex selling environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated capacity to persuade and to compromise.
  • Proven ability to quickly build trust and credibility with customers.
  • Considerable experience with product contracting and demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts with significant value.
  • Outstanding analytical and financial skills.
  • Creative and innovative problem solver.
  • Ability to sell the value of corporate relationships.
  • Proficient of Microsoft Office based applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient with Sales CRM Tools.
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of sales, business plans, and business development strategies at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Desirable - Minimum of 5 years in selling relevant products or services.
  • Experience related to people Management and/or Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive a car for extended distances
  • Must be able to work in a field environment
  • Overnight Travel ~ 75 %
