How will you make an impact in this role?
The Global Merchant Services France team (GMS France) is responsible for driving growth and strengthening loyalty within the American Express merchant network in France (AEPE). Its mission is to ensure widespread acceptance of the American Express card across the entire French territory and all industry sectors.
In France, GMS Acquisition operates mainly through merchant recruitment Partners (mainly banks) which help the company grow its network of accepting merchants. This must be executed through robust acquisition processes that adhere to local and European regulations applicable, as well as the Company's internal policies.
In this context, the Head of Business Operation is looking for his next: "Analyst Risk Management".
The Analyst Risk Management sits within the GMS France Business Operation teams and will work with several internal partners such as the Control Management organization, internal control teams (2nd and 3rd line of Defense), Compliance and KYC Operations in order to:
- Improve third-party governance & monitoring processes in line with the expectations of our regulators, including ACPR in France, and drive control indicators and tools.
- Formalize AML-related controls, procedures and trainings for onboarding
- Support the delivery of critical AML/KYC initiatives for the market, in line with strategic priorities and AML requirements.
- Support the business in the execution of the company's operational risk framework, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Enterprise-wide Operational Risk Policy and related guidance.
- Support the enhancement and the modernization of our operational processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Project management experience, ideally within financial services sector
- Knowledge and experience of the local AML Regulatory environment will be a strong advantage.
- Fluency in both English and French
- Driven team player who loves challenges with a positive attitude and flexibility
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively to ensure timelines are met and work volumes are managed
- Data driven with strong knowledge / skills with Excel, SQL Requests…
