As an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) Product Manager at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (HMI) Design & Engineering (D&E), you will play a crucial role in defining the strategic direction, vision, and roadmap for the Odyssee product and the integration of AI/ML technologies throughout the HMI D&E portfolio. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, and sales, to deliver innovative AI/ML based CAE solutions that meet our customers' needs and enhance our competitive advantage.

What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Execution
- Define and execute comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps supporting the integration of AI/ML throughout the D&E portfolio, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Partner with the VP, Product Management and Director of Product Management for Accelerators to translate market trends and customer feedback into strategic product plans.
Market Analysis & Customer Insights
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product decisions and prioritize features that deliver maximum value.
- Develop and present business plans in collaboration with Sales and Business Development teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with product development and QA teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Work closely with business development and marketing to ensure sales focus and product messaging aligns with customer needs and market positioning.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the entire product planning process, from gathering requirements to defining user stories and managing backlogs.
- Ensure products are developed on time and meet quality standards by providing strategic guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
Customer Engagement & Advocacy
- Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring that products effectively address real-world engineering challenges.
- Engage directly with customers through feedback sessions and industry events to build strong relationships and gather actionable insights.
- Engage in Strategic Customer Partnerships with large OEMs to analyze their workflows and identify needs for AI/ML technology integration.
Packaging and Pricing
- Collaborate with the Sales and Pricing Operations teams to define licensing and pricing strategies to optimize product performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or in a similar role, preferably in AI/ML product development.
Domain knowledge:
Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, algorithms, and frameworks. Familiarity with simulation software or CAE is a plus.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Understanding of the Design & Engineering portfolio and/or competitor's products.
Experience with software development:
Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies, write product requirement specifications, create product positioning documents, and review highly technical product design documents.
- Track record in developing strategic roadmaps and architecting solutions.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies and best practices in product management.
Excellent blend of business, marketing, and technology skills to make well-informed strategic and product tradeoffs.
- Effective cross-functional influencer: Collaborate internally with virtual teams, colleagues across the organization, and externally with partners and customers.
- Enthusiastic advocate: Champion AI/ML by supporting sales teams in achieving success and working with product teams to address customers' needs.
- Customer-centric approach: Possess strong customer presence, interaction, and presentation skills.
- Team player: Collaborate with and support the marketing and business development team in developing cross-product solutions to ensure overall company success.
- Self-motivated leader and problem solver: Proven ability to find solutions to various problems (technical, organizational, resource-related, etc.) while working within a large, evolving, multinational organization.
- Willingness to travel globally and flexibility with work hours may be required.
