2026 Intern - Software Engineer

Internship Details 

Location: Clermont-Ferrand

Duration: 6 months

Start date: 1st April 2026

End date: 30th September 2026

Eligibility: Students that are enrolled in Bachelor or Masters program, must be graduating the following year. Final year of study.

Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office, 2 days per week work from home 

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer Intern to join our Adobe
3D Cloud Services team based in Clermont-Ferrand as a backend developer.

We are the team behind the Adobe Substance 3D RESTful API available in Firefly Services. This API aims to provide 3D capabilities on the cloud to power 3D based web applications with features such as scenes assembling, scene file format conversion, rendering and combining 3D objects with AI-generated 2D content.  You will be part of a small team developing cutting-edge services with the highest industry standards in an agile environment.

What you will do

• Evolve the API and implement new features in collaboration with other developers

• Take maintenance and testability into account during implementation. Write
  unit and functional tests

• Investigate/fix bugs and performance issues

• Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback during code
  reviews

• Respond to code reviews and welcome questions and constructive feedback

• Participate in sprint planning

What you will need to succeed

• Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in
  Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or
  equivalent experience.

• Good computer science fundamentals

• Good design, debugging and problem-solving skills

• Ability to learn new technologies and to maintain a high degree of technical involvement

• Familiarity with Go, Python and JS languages

• Previous related experience in software engineering (applicable
  coursework, personal projects, internships, etc.)

• Familiarity with Protocol Buffers is a plus

• Familiarity with Cloud Computing Architecture is a plus

• Speaking and understanding French and English

What to expect from the recruitment process. Our selection process typically consists of three stages as follows:  

60-minute Online Assessment.  

90-minute Technical Interview with the team.  

45-minute Soft-Skills Interview with the Hiring Manager.
