POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Line Producer is a senior executive leadership role responsible for the overall strategic, creative, financial, and operational success of one or more large-scale live entertainment productions. Acting as the project owner from initial concept through opening and short-term operations, the Line Producer ensures alignment between artistic ambition, business objectives, budgetary discipline, and operational feasibility. The Line Producer serves as the primary representative of the production toward shareholders, partners, clients, and executive leadership. REPORTING STRUCTUREReports to: Group Executive ProducerDirect Reports: Production Stage Manager, Creative Producer (hierarchically), Production Director, Project Production Management teamIndirect Reports: Artistic Directors, Technical Directors, Department Heads, External Vendors and Partners CORE RESPONSIBILITIES STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP • Define, safeguard, and champion the overall financial and operational realities of the production. • Lead project development from early ideation through final delivery.• Collaborate with the PSM on all operational matters, with an indirect link to Artistic Directors, Creative Directors, Writers, and Designers.• Validate creative proposals against budgetary, technical, and operational constraints.• Ensure key stakeholder have a perfect vision of the project status while major decisions must be made.• Ensure creative coherence throughout creation, opening, and early operations. FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT & BUSINESS MANAGEMENT • Develop, own, and control CAPEX and OPEX budgets.• Frame and approve major financial commitments and contracts in close collaboration with the Group Executive Producer (GEP), with indirect link to the Group Business Controller. • Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and financial risk.• Negotiate high-level agreements parameters with venues, licensors, unions, and vendors.PRODUCTION & DELIVERY OVERSIGHT • Oversee all phases of design, engineering, fabrication, rehearsals, and commissioning. • Ensure robust planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking. • Supervise Production Directors and Technical leadership.• Validate readiness for previews, opening, and operational handover. • Anticipate and resolve high-level production risks. OPERATIONS & PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY • Define long-term operational strategies and cost models.• Monitor show performance, audience reception, and KPIs (short-term).• Ensure smooth deployment of the major creative or operational changes post-opening. • Ensure long-term brand integrity. TEAM LEADERSHIP & GOVERNANCE • Build and lead senior production teams.• Establish governance and decision-making frameworks.• Foster collaboration across creative, technical, and corporate stakeholders. • Mentor senior leaders and support succession planning.STAKEHOLDER, CLIENT & EXTERNAL RELATIONS • Act as primary interface with clients, and partners/vendors. • Support marketing and communication strategies.• Manage high-level client expectations. RISK, COMPLIANCE & SAFETY OVERSIGHT • Ensure legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance.• Validate health & safety strategies in close connection with project's PSM and technical leadership• Oversee risk management and crisis protocols. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION • Master's degree - Theatre, Production Management, Operations, or related field preferred. EXPERIENCE • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in production operations in live entertainment or theatre. • Minimum of four (4) years in senior production roles.• Minimum of two (2) past experiences on high-stakes, high-budget live show productions. • Proven experience in multinational, multicultural production environments.• Proven track record delivering large-scale productions.• Experience managing international, multidisciplinary teams.TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL SKILLS • Deep understanding of live entertainment workflows.• Strong financial and negotiation skills.• Strategic and operational leadership.• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to rapid change, and manage extended schedules. LANGUAGE SKILLS • Fluency in English required.• Additional languages (French or others) considered a strong asset.
