Location: HQ Annecy (France)Reports to: Head of Retail Experience EMEAContract: Full time - PermanentAbout UVS GamesWe are a fast-growing publisher dedicated to bringing the world's best IPs to the tabletop, since 2006. From My Hero Academia and Godzilla to Star Trek and Street Fighter, we have built a reputation for blending deep tactical gameplay with fan-favorite universes. Following the global launch of Riftbound (the League of Legends trading card game) on October 31st, 2025, we are entering a phase of explosive expansion. We are looking for builders, people ready to disrupt the TCG market with creativity, agility, and precision.
We don't just sell games; we build ecosystems where players and fans thrive. The MissionReporting to the Head of Retail Experience, you are the "Store Whisperer" for the EMEA region. Your mission goes beyond increasing the number of stores selling our games and hosting events: it's about raising the overall standard of the retail experience.
Your role
will be to recruit new retailers into our ecosystem, while actively supporting their onboarding into our commercial and organized play programs to ensure a smooth and successful start. Additionally, you will act as a business coach, developping tools and content to help stores to optimise their layout, marketing and events in order to welcome the huge influx of League of Legends fans entering the hobby, as well as delighting existing trading card game players. Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Acquisition (The Hunter): Identify and onboard new Local Game Stores (LGS) across Europe. actively hunt for "hybrid" retailers (Video Game cafes, Manga stores, E-sports bars) that are perfect for the Riftbound audience but new to TCGs. Business Coaching (The Consultant): You don't sell products, you sell success.
Coach store owners on:The "New Standard" Experience: How to create a welcoming environment for new players (cleanliness, lighting, inclusivity). Digital Presence: Helping stores level up their Social Media, Discord management, and Google Business profiles to attract local players. Merchandising: Advising on planograms and "Retail Theatre" to make products fly off the shelf. Organized Play (OP) Onboarding: Guide stores through the UVS Tournament software and event structure.
Ensure they understand how to run an event that feels like a celebration, not just a tournament. Enhance the retailer onboarding experience: Continuously refine the onboarding journey, identify and remove barriers to entry, and work closely with the Retail Experience team to implement improvements. This includes actively gathering and leveraging retailer feedback to ensure the program is accessible, efficient, and valuable from day one. Community Pulse: You are the ears on the ground.
Gather feedback from store owners regarding product quality, OP kit utility, and player sentiment. Feed this "ground truth" back to the Product and Marketing teams. Tier Management: Monitor store performance and help them climb the ladder of our Organized Play Program by hitting specific quality and event KPIs. Who you areA "Retail Doctor": You can walk into a game store and instantly spot three ways to improve their business (e.g., "Move that display," "Fix the lighting," "Post this on Instagram").
Empathetic Business Partner: You understand the struggles of small business owners (cash flow, time, staff). You speak their language. A Gamer at Heart: You know what a great TCG tournament feels like, and you know what a bad one feels like. You demand the best for the players and fans.
You're a Perfect Match If You Have...
Experience
2+ years in the Hobby Game Industry (Store Manager, Publisher Rep, or Distributor Rep) OR experience in Retail Coaching/Franchise Management. The "Player First" Mindset: You understand that a sales target is meaningless if the player experience is poor. You fight for the best premium in store activations and visibility.
Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to create "How-To" guides or webinars for retailers. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Strong written and verbal skills for email correspondence.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear business recommendations. Capability to learn new, specific software functionalities. Analytical Excellence: You are comfortable with data and forecasting. You know that good planning prevents stockouts and keeps the community happy.
Mobility: Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time for client meetings, trade shows and team alignment. Scale-up Adaptability: You thrive in fast-paced environments where processes are still being written. You are proactive and creativity-driven. Cultural Affinity (Bonus): A personal interest in Pop Culture, TCGs, or Video Games is appreciated.
It helps to speak the language of our fans, but it is not mandatory. We value your sales expertise above all. Languages: French, Fluent English (C1/C2). What We OfferImpact: You will directly shape the "Third Place" where millions of players will experience League of Legends in real life.
Culture: A passionate, international team where your voice matters.
Compensation
Fixed Salary + Performance Bonus. Health: A comprehensive Health Insurance scheme with strong company contribution. Work Location: Hybrid model based in our Annecy HQ.3 days mandatory on-site (collaboration focus).2 days flexible (remote or office). Other Benefit: Employee Product AllocationBefore We Sign Off: We welcome applicants with a wide range of experience.
We encourage anyone to apply that may be interested, even if you feel you don't meet 100% of the qualifications above.
