The Senior Accountant France supports the French entities in all accounting andreporting activities in accordance with French GAAP and US GAAP. The role activelyassists the CFO, who retains overall responsibility, by providing hands-on support inperiod-end closings, SG&A expense analysis, reporting requests from USheadquarters and finance-related projects at both local and European level.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Closing & Statutory Accounting Support Support the preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings forthe French entities under French GAAP and US GAAP Assist in ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax and regulatoryrequirements Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations and documentation for statutoryand group reporting Act as a key operational contact for accounting topics, supporting the CFO inday-to-day activitiesSG&A Expense Analysis Prepare analyses and commentaries on SG&A expenses versus budget,forecast and prior year Support variance analysis and cost transparency for cost center owners Assist in identifying cost trends and efficiency improvement opportunitiesReporting & US Headquarters Support Prepare reporting packages, analyses and ad-hoc information requested byUS headquarters Support consistency and alignment between local reporting, group reportingand US GAAP requirements Assist in responding to follow-up questions from group finance and auditorsProjects & Process Support Support finance-related projects (e.g. process improvements, systemenhancements, harmonization initiatives) Contribute to the documentation and improvement of accounting processesand internal controls Support internal and external audit activities under the guidance of the CFOQualifications & Skills University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or acomparable qualification Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting, preferably inan international environment Solid knowledge of French GAAP and good understanding of US GAAP Strong analytical skills, particularly in SG&A expense and variance analysis Experience with ERP systems and very good MS Excel skills Fluent French and English (spoken and written) Hands-on, structured and detail-oriented working style Strong team and communication skills, with the ability to work closely withsenior stakeholders
