Location: ParisSector: Private Equity – Secondaries & Co-InvestmentsSeniority: Senior Associate (4–6 years' experience)We are supporting a leading independent global private equity firm in hiring a Senior Associate for their Paris investment team. The firm manages significant capital and specializes in the secondary market, acquiring positions in private equity funds and direct stakes in mid-market companies across Europe and North America.This is a pure-play buyside role. The Senior Associate will join a compact, high-performance investment team, gaining exposure to complex deal structuring, portfolio pricing, and cross-border transactions. Unlike advisory roles, this position requires an investor mindset—focusing on capital allocation, risk assessment, and long-term value creation.The ideal candidate brings rigorous financial modelling skills from a Top Tier Investment Bank (M&A or Leveraged Finance) or an existing Private Equity fund and is looking to step into a role with high deal flow and global reach.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Analysis: Screen and evaluate new secondary investment opportunities (LP interests, GP-led restructurings, and secondary direct transactions).Financial Modelling: Build and own complex financial models to price portfolios and single assets; perform sensitivity analysis, cash flow projections, and return scenarios (IRR/MOIC).Due Diligence: Lead the deep-dive analysis of underlying portfolio companies; review data rooms and conduct commercial and financial assessment of assets.Investment Committee: Draft and present high-quality investment memoranda to the Partners, clearly articulating the investment thesis, pricing rationale, and key risks.Transaction Execution: Manage the execution phase, including legal structuring and coordination with external legal counsels to close deals.Market Intelligence: Monitor trends in the global private equity secondary market.Candidate Profile4–6 years of experience strictly within Investment Banking (M&A / Leveraged Finance) at a Tier-1 Bank or Boutique, or prior experience in Private Equity.Strong academic background from a Top Tier Business School or Engineering SchoolAdvanced technical skillset: extensive experience building LBO models and valuing illiquid assets from scratch.Commercial Judgment: Ability to look beyond the numbers to assess the quality of an asset and the viability of a deal.Fluent in French and English (daily working languages).High level of autonomy and ability to work in a flat, entrepreneurial structure.This is a unique opportunity to join a highly active investment platform with a strong track record of deployment, offering a steep learning curve and direct exposure to the Partners.To express interest, please submit your CV.
