Role Overview

Within the Infrastructures & Construction Agency in Évry, you will join a technical team led by Cédric, playing a key role in supporting clients to carry out construction projects safely and in compliance with regulations.

As a Building Electrical Technical Inspector, you will conduct technical control missions related to electricity and fire safety, from the design phase through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Control & Compliance

  • Carry out technical control missions on construction projects in:

    • Electrical installations

    • Fire safety systems

  • Provide technical opinions on the compliance of installations with applicable standards and regulations

  • Validate the sizing and adequacy of electrical installations and equipment in collaboration with:

    • Engineering firms

    • Project owners

Site Monitoring & Execution

  • Monitor conformity during the execution phase through regular site visits

  • Identify risks and deviations and recommend corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance from design through final delivery

Reporting & Client Interaction

  • Prepare and deliver technical reports for clients

  • Act as a technical advisor, supporting clients throughout project phases

  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear and professional communication

Project Scope

You will work across a wide variety of construction projects, including:

  • Residential and commercial real estate developments

  • Industrial and commercial buildings

  • Public and private sector projects

  • New constructions, renovations, and extensions

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • 2–3 year post-secondary degree in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Electrotechnics

Experience

  • Initial experience in:

    • Building control organizations or

    • Engineering/consulting firms

  • Solid understanding of:

    • High-voltage building systems

    • Applicable electrical regulations

  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations is a strong advantage

Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Technically hands-on: Strong interest in electrical and building technologies

  • Excellent communication skills: Comfortable working in teams and advising clients

  • Organized & methodical: Able to manage multiple projects independently

  • Autonomous & rigorous: Comfortable combining fieldwork with technical analysis

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Category B driving license (mandatory)

  • Willingness to travel regularly for site visits
