Job description

 

You will a member of an industrial service team supporting implementation of programmes of the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA). In this position you will be responsible for PA & RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) to support the definition, implementation, and follow-up of RAMS activities for EUSPA’s Galileo and EGNOS programmes.

 

Responsibilities

 

You will report to the EUSPA PA / RAMS function with typically the following tasks:

 

  • Leading RAMS Working Groups.
  • Reviewing RAMS documentation for milestones reviews.
  • Sharing knowledge and information with the Service Design and Validation.
  • Ensure the maintenance and control of the RAMS Baseline with the Agency members as well as external partners.
  • Support Launch Schedule and End of Life.
  • Support for continuous improvement of the EUSPA’s Product Assurance: giving inputs for the KPIs data compilation / inputs for ILS (i.e. spares).

 

Location

 

This is a full-time position located at Terma premises in Toulouse, France with regular on-site co-locations at EUSPA TLS facilities to fulfil the task.

The foreseen start of the service is October 2026.

 

How to succeed in this position?

 

  • The successful candidate shall have:
  • A Master’s degree in Space Systems Engineering, Quality Management or similar relevant domain.
  • At least 3 years relevant professional working experience in the space industry.
  • Several years’ experience in design and engineering of safety critical systems, ideally in large programmes.
  • Relevant experience of application of RAMS engineering to space programmes, including ground systems and operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of RAMS analyses, methodologies, and tools (for hardware and software), preparation of relevant RAMS documentation during an overall project life-cycle and specifically the operations phase.

 

 

Desirable:

 

  • Prior experience in the Galileo/EGNOS programmes is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant certification schemes e.g. RTCA/DO-198C and safety directives relevant for space is an asset.
  • Familiarity with space product assurance practices and related space standards (ECSS series).

 

Soft skills:

 

  • Service orientation.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Good English language skills, written and spoken.
