About The Role
Company: WeRide Title: Development Engineer (Operation Map) Description: This position is sourced from Liepin. Locations in China: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the Operation Map system for autonomous driving, supporting core business capabilities such as Routing, Dispatch, and Pickup/Drop-off (PUDO). Build and maintain large-scale map data processing, storage, publishing, and rollback infrastructure to enhance map system stability and scalability. Drive evolution of map schema and data structures to support onboard/offboard system integration and automation capabilities. Advance map automation production workflows, including map generation, change detection, and validation. Support operational semantic capabilities such as stoppable zones, pickup/drop-off regions, construction closures, and operational geofences. Collaborate with Planning, Dispatch, Simulation, and Operations teams to deploy map capabilities into autonomous driving operational systems. Establish map canary releases, rapid rollback mechanisms, anomaly detection, and online stability systems. Optimize map service performance and engineering architecture to support expansion across large cities and operational areas.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields. Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms; proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Go. Experience in designing distributed systems and developing highly available backend services. Familiarity with backend services or large-scale data processing systems. Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: HD Map Routing/Navigation, GIS, Geospatial Systems, Spatial Databases, or Autonomous Driving Map Systems. Understanding of core GIS concepts such as map topology, lane graphs, geofences, and spatial indexing. Proven ability to analyze complex system issues and deliver robust engineering solutions.
