Join our European Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) team and play a pivotal role in shaping how innovative medical technologies reach patients across France and Belgium.
As a Senior Health Economics & Market Access Manager at Olympus, you will lead market access strategy across both markets, combining deep health economics expertise with your understanding of the medical device landscape to secure sustainable access, reimbursement and compelling value propositions.
As the trusted HEMA partner to country leadership, you will influence business priorities, engage key payer and healthcare stakeholders, and help shape the environment for successful product adoption.
Alongside your country leadership, around 20% of your role will support the European launch of new products within our Urology portfolio — helping build the evidence, access strategy and market readiness needed for successful launches across priority markets.
Your responsibilities
Lead Market Access strategy for France and Belgium, applying deep knowledge of reimbursement, funding, HTA and health policy to secure sustainable access for priority Olympus technologies
Develop payer and market access strategies that anticipate emerging challenges and opportunities, identify critical evidence requirements and strengthen the value proposition for payers and healthcare systems
Shape the external environment through strategic engagement with payers, providers, policymakers, HTA bodies and other key stakeholders at national and regional level
Lead health economic and market access initiatives, including landscape assessments, payer research and advisory boards, value propositions, economic tools and reimbursement submissions
Identify and develop new funding and reimbursement pathways for priority products, challenging traditional approaches where appropriate to accelerate patient access and commercial adoption
Act as the trusted HEMA advisor to France and Belgium leadership, providing strategic guidance on reimbursement, pricing, funding, health policy and evolving healthcare system dynamics
Partner across Commercial, Medical, Clinical and other functions to identify and remove barriers to market access, shape evidence-generation priorities and translate market insights into actionable business strategies
Support the EMEA launch of new Urology technologies, bringing country insights into regional access strategies, evidence generation and launch readiness to support successful adoption across priority European markets
Build and leverage networks of payer, clinical and health economic experts, developing advocacy and partnerships that strengthen the evidence base and influence access, funding and policy decisions
Your qualifications
Significant HEMA, Market Access or HEOR experience within the medical device/MedTech industry, with strong knowledge of the French reimbursement, funding and HTA landscape
An established network across relevant payer, HTA, healthcare and policy stakeholders in France, combined with the confidence to engage and influence at a senior level
Strong health economics and evidence-generation expertise, with experience developing economic evidence, value propositions and reimbursement submissions; publication experience or evidence of facilitating published research would be advantageous
A track record of navigating complex product-specific reimbursement and access challenges, using evidence and market insight to challenge conventional approaches and develop pragmatic solutions
The ability to translate sophisticated clinical and economic evidence into compelling value arguments for payers and healthcare decision-makers
Strong strategic thinking combined with a willingness to work hands-on, operating with significant autonomy and taking ownership from strategy through execution
The ability to work effectively across Commercial, Medical, Clinical and other cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority and bringing a clear Market Access perspective to business decisions
Fluency in French and English, with the ability to operate confidently with both local and international stakeholders
