Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role
Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for experienced infrastructure and network security practitioners to help us make AI smarter about cybersecurity. Your real-world expertise in network defense, endpoint security, and incident analysis will directly shape how AI systems understand, reason about, and respond to modern security threats. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of hands-on security work and frontier AI development. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do
Analyze real-world network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine root causes and failure modes Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems Provide clear, structured explanations of security issues, attack chains, and business impact Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise security tooling Deep understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls at scale Able to clearly communicate technical findings — root causes, impact, and remediation — in plain language Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls Background in cloud infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, GCP) Prior experience with AI evaluation or data labeling workflows Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work at your own pace Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work Contribute to AI that will define how security challenges are understood and solved Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
