About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Software/Data Engineer to join the IT team supporting Energy Market Analysis (EC MA). The team works closely with the Trading and Business teams and provides data, analysis, and decision-support tools for different energy markets. In this role, you will develop and maintain data platforms, data pipelines, applications, and analytical tools used by the business every day. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python, AWS, Big Data technologies, data engineering, and software architecture. Job
Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance data platforms and data pipelines. Collect data from different sources and perform data ingestion, processing, transformation, and reporting. Work with large volumes of market and fundamental data. Develop decision-support applications and analytical tools for business and trading teams. Improve the performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of existing applications and data platforms. Perform bug fixing, maintenance, and technical support for existing applications. Implement new business requirements and continuously improve existing solutions. Work closely with business users to understand their needs and convert them into technical solutions. Provide user support and troubleshoot application/data-related issues. Ensure solutions are delivered quickly while maintaining good quality and reliability. Contribute to software architecture, design, and development best practices. Required Technical
Skills:
Python Strong experience with Python 3. Ability to develop reliable and maintainable applications and data-processing solutions. AWS Good hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. Ability to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data solutions. Big Data & Data Engineering Strong knowledge of Big Data architecture and technologies. Experience building data ingestion, processing, transformation, and storage solutions. Understanding of data platforms and large-scale data processing. Software Architecture Good understanding of software architecture and design patterns. Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable applications. Required
Experience:
English: Expert level / 10+ years of professional experience. AWS: Advanced – approximately 5–8 years. Python 3: Advanced – approximately 5–8 years. Big Data Architecture & Technologies: Advanced – approximately 5–8 years. Software Architecture & Design Patterns: Confirmed – approximately 3–5 years. Analytical and synthesis
