ABOUT THE ROLE
Lovecraft and Mirror Mirror are audiovisual production companies operating in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. As Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance activities of both entities, working closely with the production and management teams as well as the Group Finance team. You will take the ownership of the local finance function, ensure reliable financial information, maintain strong processes and controls, and provide the production and management teams with the financial support they need to manage their projects effectively. YOUR MISSIONS 1.
Project controlling & business partnering ● Act as the finance business partner for the production teams, providing day-to-day financial support throughout the lifecycle of projects. ● Build and maintain project budgets, forecasts and financial follow-up. ● Monitor project profitability, costs, margins and budget variances. ● Provide clear and actionable financial analysis to production and management teams. ● Ensure that financial information is available and reliable throughout the production cycle. 2.
Accounting & monthly closing ● Take ownership of the day-to-day accounting activities of the two entities, in coordination with the Group Accounting team. ● Manage sales and purchase accounting, accruals, prepayments, cut-offs and other accounting entries. ● Ensure that transactions are properly recorded and allocated to the relevant projects and accounts. ● Coordinate with the Group Finance team to prepare and deliver the monthly closing within the agreed timeline. ● Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure that key accounts are properly monitored. ● Ensure the quality and consistency of financial data within the ERP. ● Support the implementation and improvement of finance processes and workflows. YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS ● 3 to 5 years of professional experience in finance, controlling or audit (experience in audit, ideally in a Big 4, is a strong plus). ● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. ● Ability to manage both accounting and controlling topics with a hands-on approach. ● Strong attention to detail and a high level of rigor and organization. ● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders. ● Strong interest in finance systems and processes; experience with an ERP is required (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a strong plus). ● Excellent command of Excel / Google Sheets. ● French and English are mandatory. ● Master's degree in Finance, Controlling or equivalent.
