Role Description The Apparel Designer Performance and Sports role is preferably a free-lance position, 3 days per week during 4 months, this contract can evolve depending on performance and business. This is an on-site position located in Paris. This role focuses mostly on designing performance and sports apparel collections (also Luxury Brand Projects can be included) from concept through to final specifications, aligning with brand identity and market needs. Depending on on-going business projects, work on Strategy, Identity, Innovation and Sustainability is also part of the scope of this position working under the Founder’s lead. Depending on the projects, working closely with the existing Team Designers is key. During the 3 day presence, also daily simple tasks as receiving or shipping samples will be required, these will be kept to a minimum. Qualifications Â
· Skills in performance and sports apparel design, including concept development. Â
· Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; 3D design software is a plus). Â
· Knowledge of materials, fabric technologies, and construction techniques for performance and sportswear. Â
· Experience creating clear technical packs, specifications, and documentation for development and production partners. Â
· Ability to conduct market and consumer research and translate insights into innovative, brand-relevant documents and designs. Â
· Collaborative skills for working with cross-functional teams in brand strategy, innovation, graphic design, and development. Â
· Understanding of sustainable design principles and interest in integrating responsible materials and processes. Â
· Relevant education in fashion design, apparel design, industrial design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Â
· Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Â
· Professional fluency in English; French language skills are an advantage for on-site collaboration in Paris.
