About The Role
What if your ability to think like an attacker — mapping kill chains, spotting defensive gaps, and reasoning through real-world threats — could directly shape how AI understands cybersecurity? We're looking for offensive security professionals to help train and evaluate frontier AI systems using structured adversarial reasoning. This isn't exploit development. It's the deeper, more analytical work: understanding how attacks unfold, why defenses fail, and where risk propagates through modern environments. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for practitioners who can think offensively and communicate clearly. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract
Location:
Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Analyze realistic attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across modern production environments Identify and classify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive failures Review and evaluate red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy and depth Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems Translate complex attack sequences into clear, structured explanations of impact and risk Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep offensive knowledge You understand how real attacks unfold — not just in theory, but in messy, real-world production systems You can clearly articulate attack chains, tradeoffs, and downstream impact to technical and non-technical audiences Naturally analytical — you think in systems, threats, and failure modes Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments without hand-holding Nice to Have Experience with threat modeling, adversary emulation, or security architecture review Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, kill chain methodologies, or STRIDE Background in cloud security, network security, or application security Prior exposure to AI tools, data labeling, or security research writing Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work Put your offensive security expertise to use in a high-impact, novel way Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
