We are looking for a Junior UI Engineer to support our technical development team in building decision support interfaces for our advisors and clients. A major French retail group is currently working with us on a significant market entry project, and this role will help translate complex commercial data into clear, actionable digital tools. As a fully remote member of the team, you will contribute to how our senior partners interact with research and counterparty analysis during high stakes negotiations. This is an entry level position designed for someone who is technically capable and curious about the commercial logic behind large scale investments.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain user interface components for our internal advisory platforms and client facing dashboards.
- Collaborate with senior partners to understand how they use data during regulator conversations and negotiations.
- Build clean, responsive layouts that make complex investment models and partnership data easy to interpret.
- Assist in creating interactive prototypes for new scenario planning tools used in joint venture assessments.
- Write maintainable, well documented code that supports our focus on ground reality and evidence based advice.
- Work closely with data analysts to ensure that real time counterparty behavior is reflected accurately in the UI.
- Test interfaces across different devices and environments to ensure reliability for advisors working in the territory.
- Participate in internal reviews to ensure all digital tools align with our firm's direct and professional aesthetic. What you bring
- Basic proficiency in modern front end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- A clear understanding of user experience principles, especially for professional tools or financial reporting.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts to non technical team members and senior partners clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in how data is presented to decision makers.
- Commercial curiosity and an interest in how software supports large scale investment and capital deployment.
- A disciplined approach to remote work, with the ability to manage your own tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Willingness to learn new frameworks and adapt to the specific logic of our commercial advisory style.
- Analytical thinking skills to help solve problems when translating complex requirements into functional code.
What we offer
- A fully remote working environment that allows you to contribute from wherever you are most productive.
- Competitive compensation that is attractive for an entry level technical role in the current market.
- Direct exposure to the work of senior partners and the chance to see how your tools impact real world deals.
- A professional setting focused on results and commercial judgment rather than corporate bureaucracy or theory. Working at Gulf Associates At Gulf Associates, we prioritize outcomes over sheer output. Our firm avoids the typical theoretical reports common in large consultancies: instead, we focus on what a client can actually act on in the room. This direct approach extends to our internal culture. We value honesty, clarity, and the ability to stay grounded in the facts of a deal. We work with family groups, sovereign entities, and chief executives on matters where the logic of state capital and private interests often meet. As a Junior UI Engineer, you are not just writing code; you are building the windows through which our partners view the market. We operate with a small, focused book of engagements to ensure every project receives the necessary attention, and we expect every team member to share that sense of responsibility for the final result.
