Lead Data Engineer to own and drive the Consumer Data Hub (CDH), a unified consumer data platform across 10+ countries and tens of millions of profiles, enabling marketing activation, advanced analytics, forecasting and Agentic AI capabilities.

You'll lead a team of 4 data engineers while staying deeply technical — designing systems, planning roadmaps, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions. This role requires mastering the balance between being a doer and being a leader.

Technical Leadership

  • Drive the project's architecture, technical direction, and long-term vision

  • Write production code in Python , SQL , and dbt — maintaining hands-on engineering skills

  • Ensure technical coherence across components; identify and resolve performance, scalability, and technical debt issues

  • Establish data quality standards, observability, and monitoring practices

  • Ensure the platform is compliant and respect GDPR regulations

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Own the project plan by quarter: break work into deliverables, maximize parallel execution, and adjust as new information emerges

  • Collect and synthesize requirements from engineering and non-engineering partners; translate them into a prioritized roadmap

  • Identify unknowns early, assess technical risks, and communicate them proactively

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor project health and back decisions with data

People & Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor 4 data engineers — grow their skills, unblock their work, and delegate effectively

  • Represent the team externally: communicate needs upward and share context back

  • Foster a culture of ownership, excellence, and continuous improvement
