We have a unique opportunity for a newly created Product Manager who will hold product and market ownership within the area of advanced scientific digital imaging cameras for physical sciences, encompassing the key market segments of Astronomy and Quantum Imaging, and spanning UV/VIS to Short wave Infra-red (SWIR) scientific camera solutions.

Astronomy and Quantum research are vibrant markets and key facets of OI Andor’s growth strategy, representing focal points for ongoing product development and application solution promotion. Andor ultrasensitive high performance astronomy detectors have been used for more than 30 years across exciting application areas such as exoplanet discovery, solar physics, near earth asteroid detection, orbital debris tracking and cosmology. Likewise, Andor has a longstanding reputation as the leading detector provider into cutting edge quantum research themes such as entangled photons, Bose Einstein Condensates and quantum computing. Beyond these core fields, the role will also encompass a wide range of other applications, including beam profiling, carbon nanotubes research, semiconductor characterisation, LIDAR and single molecule dynamics. Furthermore, the role will involve business development support for Andor’s OEM/Industrial business.

As part of the dynamic Physical Sciences and OEM Product Management team, the Product Manager for Physical Sciences Imaging’s core objective is to drive a robust growth strategy for imaging solutions within the physical sciences, with emphasis on developing domain expertise within key market segments. The successful candidate will drive and co-ordinate New Product Introduction (NPI), product life cycle responsibilities, marketing, lead generation initiatives, business development, sales training and inter-departmental activities relating to specified market segments.

The Product Manager Physical Imaging will have:

Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline 3 years’ in-depth and hands-on experience of scientific digital cameras in either an Academic Research, Industrial R&D, Application Scientist or Product Management capacity.
