Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to take on a role in the Offer domain, responsible for the definition of the end to end solution for a given scope within the Offer portfolio. Scope will start with our existing Shopping Products: Flex Pricer, Instant Search and Massive Search, with a specific focus on our product offering for the NDC channel. Then responsibilities are expected to evolve towards our Nevio portfolio, in particular to one or several modules of our Offer Management System product.

The Product Manager will collaborate with other PMs working in adjacent areas, Product Marketing Managers, Engineers and Commercial teams, to build a coherent solution moving forward. 

In this role, (s)he will put together a comprehensive solution strategy & positioning approach to meet the airline business needs of managing the offers they wish to sell, this includes
o Understanding business and commercial market dynamics 
o Articulating the functional and non-functional requirements
o Integrating constraints & considerations for the Airlines and Amadeus distribution ecosystem
o Understanding and monitoring competition, the market and industry players (ex. IATA, ATPCo) positioning and trends 

(S)he is responsible for ensuring the creation of feasible and sustainable solutions and defining a transition plan from the current to future state, by:
• collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders in the broader business unit, R&D, Sales, Pre-sales, as well as airlines customers to identify and define market and business needs,
• defining the Product Vision, Roadmap, and transition plan required to meet these needs,
• working with multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in delivering value

Common accountabilities:
 
• Has working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in own discipline. Understands how own area contributes to the business. Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.​

• Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.​

• Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations. 
 
Specific accountabilities:
 
• Articulate & Develop value propositions and key messages corresponding to problem statements, and articulate them into new product concepts or upgrades
• Define the product strategy, vision & the business value in line with the business owners and other relevant stakeholders
• Analyze solution offerings of competitors and define the strategic positioning of the product in alignment with Product Marketing Management
• Manage 3rd party partnerships: requirement definition and prioritization, coordination of product evolution and other activities with the partner
• Embark Amadeus teams on product vision, share product knowledge and ensure mutual understanding of the business
• Support co-innovation with customers to validate customer value drivers, define features of the products (MVP and beyond), and prioritize based on effort and expected business value
• Define and manage product roadmap; socialize and align timelines with relevant stakeholders. Work closely with Product Marketing Management, Operations (Customer Service/Delivery/Go To Market) and R&D teams to define priorities and releasing plan for new products or upgrades
• Coordinate different functional and technical streams with R&D teams to ensure end to end solution consistency
• Manage the budget for area of responsibility including capacity planning with R&D
• Participate in Agile events (Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, System demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops…) when applicable / required
• When applicable, fulfill Product Owner role or ART PM and work with R&D teams to maximize the agile teams outcome
• Ensure solutions (to be) released meet the users needs and product readiness guidelines
