The Junior Software Engineer - Data BU on TMC Product Team, Role
Acquired through the Talend integration, the Talend Management Console (TMC) plays a core role in Qlik's Data Integration offerings.
Join Qlik's dynamic and forward-thinking Cloud-focused TMC Team as a JuniorSoftware Engineer, where you'llgrow in knowledge and skills quickly by participating in developing services to schedule customer jobs with their appropriate configuration and the engines where the executions take place. Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
TMC services and engine enhancements: Develop, test, and maintain services used to schedule executions and the engine where those million executions are done daily.
Issues resolution: Collaborate with support engineers to analyze, identify, and resolve issues and bottlenecks.
Quality assurance: Ensure deliverables meet requirements, employing test-driven development practices, including variety of tests (unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests).
Implement robust monitoring: Develop effective alerts, dashboards, playbooks, and runbooks to ensure swift issue identification and resolution.
Communication and collaboration: Communicate with engineering management and team leaders on task prioritization, scheduling, and coordination. Collaborate with team members on all aspects of the development process, including API and interface standards, user experience, architectural design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
Knowledge and practical experience in Java and Spring Knowledge or experience with DBs like Postgresql and MongoDB Knowledge or experience in API design Ability to communicate smoothly, effectively and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (e.g., information technology, software engineering). At least around 1 year of practical experience in software development Willingness to work in a large organization Eager to learn and progress on every aspect of software engineering responsibility Knowledge or experience with messaging tools like Active MQ, Kafka or similar technologies would be a plus Knowledge or experience with services scalability, HA would be a plus Knowledge or experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Helm/Flux would be a plus Knowledge or experience on Apache Karaf would be a big plusMake an impact at Qlik by joining our dynamic team as a Junior Developer.
