Within the Histopathology Pole, under the responsibility of the Head of the pole, you would be in charge of laboratory experiments linked to projects aiming at developing Anti-Senses Oligonucleotides (ASOs) therapies involving Necropsy, Molecular Histopathology, automated Image Analysis (Machine and Deeplearning approaches). You will benefit of a stimulating scientific environment including Nonclinical Safetyand ASO therapy teams within the Translational Medicine and Research departments. 
You would perform scientific studies with respect of the Regulation, Health and Safety rules and Quality Repository. 

Responsibilities :

Perform the whole histological process from reception of the samples until the realization of histological sections  Perform classical stains or in situ specific tissular localizations of biomarkers  Setting-up of Immunohistochemistry protocols (simplex, multiplex with OPAL and COMET technologies for protein detection), In situ Hybridization (RNAscope to detect biomarkers at the mRNA level, miRNAscope to detect ASOs) on Ventana/Roche or Leicaautomates. Microscope Analyses and slides scanner utilization (Hamamatsu, PhenoImager and COMET)  Use of computerized image acquisition and analysis Softwares (Visiopharm, HALO AI), development of Deep-learning algorithms To plan the experimental phase of the studies Apply the protocol in accordance with the operating methods, ensure the recording of raw data with the precision and quality required and communicate the results obtained within the planned deadlines Perform Post-Mortem examinations of animals following ethical rules and study plans guidelines  In the follow-up of the study protocols you will have to describe the macroscopic changes on the tissues/organs following the pathologists guidance Weight the organs Sample organs and tissues respecting tissue preservation methods Regular interaction with the pathologist (collaboration on current/future studies, slide return dates, etc.) Ensure the technical-scientific responsibility for the studies (internal or outsourced) Contribute to the preparation of study reports in English with photographic illustrations Manage reagents/stocks according to the planification of the studies Participation in SOP/MOP writing, optimization of methods Use of team’s data base and specific IT tools, contribution to their improvement

Profile :

PhD or Post-doctoral position in Biology in the Neurology area with some experience in Histology  Knowledge in rodents and non-human primate anatomy  Expertise in Necropsy, Molecular Histopathology, Immunohistochemistry (automates IHC Ventana Roche, Leica…), RNAscope Knowledge in Image Analysis technologies (ex Halo, VisioPharm) Organized with a sense of priorities Committed, motivated person, with a strong team spirit, an ability to work transversally and independently, meticulously, to carry out several projects in parallel, to address requests and priorities in a given time, respecting deadlines Project oriented and recognized for your spirit of innovation Fluent in French with a good knowledge in English
