As part of its strategy, URCA is implementing a new organisation to support all members of the URCA community in the development and funding of their projects, particularly European ones.

The university is looking to recruit a European Project Officer (M/F) for its new Project Engineering Department (DIP).

Mission

Reporting directly to the Head of Support, his/her role will be to contribute to the university's development by increasing the number of European projects submitted and awarded.

The principal tasks will be as follows:

  • Assist project leaders with the administrative and financial aspects of their applications;

  • Monitor the various programmes proposed by the European Union for higher education and research stakeholders;

  • Analyse, summarise, consolidate and publish information in the tools developed by the Project Engineering Department;

  • Participate in the definition and implementation of European project training courses for doctoral students and other university target groups;

  • Contribute to work on incentive measures (implementation, evaluation).

This position has been created thanks to the support of France 2030 as part of the DIVRESCA project, awarded in response to the call for projects entitled "Accelerating the development strategies of higher education and research establishments".

 

Specific working conditions

  • Occasional travel in France and Europe

  • Periodic peaks in activity following European calls for projects

Profil

Profile required

You have a master's degree in the field of European and international relations, with a first solid experience recommended.

You are familiar with the European institutions and the main European and international funding programmes, and have a good understanding of the legal, administrative and financial mechanisms involved in the development of European and international projects.

You have a good understanding of the legal and financial framework of a higher education institution and of public law, contract law and public finance.

Professional English is a requirement.

You are able to lead and manage projects and prepare a budget.

You must have a solid understanding of information systems and office software.

You have an analytical approach that enables you to prepare documents including reports and summaries, and the ability to communicate effectively at professional events such as meetings, training courses and oral presentations.

You have excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of diplomacy. You are comfortable working in new and varied work environments.
