We are currently hiring for a Rope Access Level 2 or 3 to join us at EDF -
Start date Asap
12 Weeks work
£23.72 ph Rope Access Level 3
£21.40 ph Rope Access Level 2
Plus site bonus £2.37 an hour until end of the outage.
54h work week
12 days on - 2 off
Must be CTC cleared or willing to undergo CTC clearance
Purpose of the role:
To carry out Rope Access work in a manner that complies with the requirements of both Cape, and our Clients; at all times maintaining a professional attitude and in accordance with all relevant Health & Safety obligations as prescribed by Law; Cape; Client; and best practise guidelines.
Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Have an understanding of company safety policy and ensure that it is complied withUse the correct tools, plant and equipment and keep them in good condition. Ensure they are safe before useReport to supervision any defects in plant and equipment, protective clothing or safety equipmentWork in a safe manner at all times, avoid taking unnecessary risksKeep working areas and welfare facilities in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all timesDo not attempt to carry out any task for which they are not trainedNot indulge in any horseplay or interfere with or misuse any plant, equipment or anything provided in the interest of health, safety or welfareReport all accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor or site managerSupervise worksitesUndertakes liaison with client to promote alternate access methods, and to determine access-rigging requirementsOrganise, participate in or supervise all relevant legislation, permit systems, client liaison and rescuesRigging working ropesUndertaking rescuesPerforming rope access tasks as defined by scope of worksCompletion of work in line with required trade action (rigging / painting / cleaning / blasting / non-destructive testing / welding / insulation) to a level to which the employee is qualifiedRequirements to be considered a Suitably Qualified & Experienced Person:
