MISSION OF THE ROLE:
- Develop new processes for the manufacturing of microstructured ophthalmic lenses
- Microstructures need to be implemented on the lenses and encapsulated. Embossing and/or imprint, molding… are promising technos that need to be improved (reliability, productivity, simplicity…)
- Validate the process as a whole (considering previous & following steps of manufacturing until the wearer)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adapt existing machines
- Imagine new machines
- Set the best parameters
- Gather arguments to compare technos each other
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE:
- Educational background in Mechanic, Material, Polymer
- At least 3-4 years of experience in the field of R&D
- Experience in optic microfabrication (nice to have)
- Solid experience with programming, measurement, experimental design
- Resourceful, initiative, methodical, self-organized
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English and French
