Business Engagement Lead APAC & Europe

As AXA XL continues to invest in its end-to-end capabilities, the Business Engagement Lead - APAC & Europe will ensure effective coordination across businesses and functions to help evaluate, prioritize and drive the change successfully throughout the organization.

The Business Engagement Lead – APAC & Europe will be the key contact for all projects (technology and non-technology) for all of APAC & Europe with a view to challenge and prioritize and provide holistic views to APAC & Europe around the changing landscape.

What will your essential responsibilities include ?

The Business Engagement Partner, APAC & Europe will be responsible for:

· Day to day engagement – be an effective and challenging partner to APAC & Europe

-Partner with leadership of APAC & Europe to help guide strategy as it relates to investments and its prioritization.

-Identify high-level solutions and drive connections with other functions where similar solutions have been put into place.

-Keep abreast on change landscape / the overall AXA XL project portfolio and develop and maintain content-relevant expertise and business knowledge around APAC & Europe business process flows & applications to assess inward impacts.

-Serve as SME for APAC & Europe towards other projects, , participate in respective project meetings as needed.

· Project Engagement – oversee an effective launch and ensure successful execution of a program:

Partner with APAC & Europe to assess and “vet” initial ideas.

Trigger pre-project analysis, business case and benefits / costs analysis

Understand, assess, align and prepare for projects/ changes (the Business Engagement Leadshould work together to ensure business alignment on a new project request when there is a project driven by one stakeholder group that impacts others)

Drive successful project initiation in coordination with Transformation and Change Delivery Team and identify resource needs across other TCD functions (, Business Solution Design and Delivery) and the broader organization.

Identify cross-functional dependencies and impacts throughout different project executions and drive resolution.

Stay informed and provide guidance on APAC & Europe initiatives throughout program execution.

Support APAC & Europe in change management on project rollouts

On select initiatives, including agile, may take on the role of Business Product Owner or Program Manager

Where requested, provide guidance / assistance to other key team members assigned to a development role / opportunity

On occasion, drive program execution on specific initiatives

In this role, you will report to the Head of Business Development

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

·Experience in managing large scale programs (12 - 15 years+), preferably in the insurance industry and in an international environment.

·Proven stakeholder management skills to influence and impact, at both programme and individual project level

·Previous experience in strategy consulting will be of advantage

·Ability to quickly switch between different issues or projects with conflicting priorities

·Excellent organizational and time management skills, communication and presentation skills

·Strong ability to multi-task across a number of initiatives.

·Ability to develop and implement best practice and framework methodologies.

·Strong business acumen, coupled with technology knowledge and expertise in software development life cycle

·Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to drive alignment with various functional/BU stakeholders.

·Strong negotiation skills, influence and creativity to achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, costs/budget, issues/risks, and resources

·Knowledge and preferably prior experience in working in an Agile environment

·Ability to deal with change effectively with familiarity of the entire working process
