Context

AXA Group is pursuing its transformation strategy, aligned with our customers’ new needs and expectations, to grow in a challenging economic environment. To deliver, we need to ensure that we invest efficiently and into the right direction, consistently with the overall Group Strategy.

Job purpose

As part of the Group COO organization, the key mission of the Strategic Program team is to ensure the alignment of the global Project Portfolio with the Group Strategy and to enable successful execution of investments while coordinating and contributing to COO/CIO dialogue cycle.

Main activities

Our activity is organized around 3 main areas:

1.Strategic Program Committee (SPC):

·Recommend new programs to go under Group governance (SPC)

·Coordinate the review of new or existing programs throughout their lifecycle (from design to closure) and issue a recommendation to the committee

·Supervise the issuance of group functions’ 2nd opinions to assess relevancy and readiness of whole programs or specific tranches when applicable,

·Track the execution status of programs approved for execution, and provide periodic status update and recommendations to the committee or via regular reporting

·Ensure follow up on committee recommendations and effective closure of open actions

·Contribute to the overall group program management governance enhancements and support the identification and syndications of best practices across the group

2.Supervision of theGroup’s strategic investment portfolio and IT spent review process:

·Coordinate and lead the yearly Group investment portfolios review of AXA’s entities and corporate centres’:

oReview the strategic allocation of investments within their project portfolios, (both IT and non-IT)

oEnsure alignment with both the Group’s overall strategic priorities and Local strategic priorities and context

oProvide a consolidated analysis at the AXA global level and key insights for the AXA’s senior management

oIdentify strategic projects to be placed under SPC governance

·Perform a deep dive on IT investments and spending through the IT Stratplan process:

oReview and understand the IT spending at local and Group level, currentandfuture trajectory of investments, and their main drivers

oEnsure consistency between the IT financial trajectory and both the local and Group Tech & Data strategies

oIdentify key trend, best practices and saving opportunities across the Group through internal and external benchmarking

3. Coordinate and lead the COO/CIO cycles:

·Organize and coordinate the annual AXA Group COO/CIO seminar

·Organize and coordinate the COO/CIO dialogues with main AXA Entities, including alignment between different stakeholders (notably Tech, Data, Security, Finance, Ops)

·For both events, identify, structure and consolidate the key strategic discussion points, assessing their relevancy for the COO-CIOs community.

Key areas of responsibility/Your mission

As an SPM officer, together with a senior SPM Lead, you will focus on the following activities to deliver on the SPM Group Mandates:

·Own the relationship with the local Project Portfolio Manager (PPM), Program Managers (PM) and Programs Directors (PD) of the subset of entities, and the associated strategic programs under SPC governance

·Support the ITSP team in analysing the investment portfolios of the entities you cover, identify potential strategic programs to be proposed for inclusion into the SPC governance, and help prepare the annual investment clearance meeting

·Drive the preparation of SPC presentation together with Program teams

·Collaborate with Group functions to ensure the SPC has clear and actionable 2nd opinions on Programs (ex. Risk, Procurement, Finance)

·Propose to the SPC recommendations on Programs, facilitate convergence and decision-making in live sessions and track the completion of SPC recommendations

·Support the COO/CIO Dialogues cycle by interacting with the different expert contributors, consolidating inputs and structuring the strategic discussion points

·Foster the identification and syndication of PPM best practices throughout the Group by animating AXA’s community of Portfolio Managers, and contribute to defining tomorrow’s Group’s PPM standards


Your Profile

Experience:

·Track record (minimum 5 years) within large multinational companies, preferably in the insurance industry is a must

·Experience of working in an international environment, requiring dealing with numerous stakeholders at group/holding level and local/subsidiary level is a must

·Functional experience in consulting, business, financial analysis, operations, or program management is a plus, ideally in technology-related or fast-changing environments

·Education: master’s degree (business or engineering) or MBA

Key skills:

·Exceptional interpersonal skills (negotiations, presentations etc.)

·Strong analytical skills

·Ability to handle senior executive relationship

·Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

·Team player, assertive & collaborative mindset

·English Proficiency is mandatory, French is a plus
