Purpose of the job :
In charge of Ecodesign for tenders et projects Manage and improve environmental performance of products Contribute to Ecodesign R&D Contribute to expertise continuous improvement Ecodesign referent for Valenciennes siteProjects main missions :
Ensure Ecodesign expertise for local platform, subsystems, tenders and projects Perform Ecodesign analysis of tenders (contractual and legal requirements) Ensure national, European and international Environmental standards and regulation texts cross analysis Prepare Ecodesign specifications (train or compo level) Participate to design (train or compo level) in order to insure achievement of contractual, legal and standard requirements in the field of Ecodesign Participate to relevant Design Review and Gate Review meeting to ensure Ecodesign performance conformity Participate to studies on corrective actions and risk mitigation plan aiming to respect the Ecodesign commitment Realise and update Ecodesign studies until delivery of the last train Implement relevant Ecodesign R&D results in projectsR&D main missions (if assigned to R&D missions)
Lead and manage R&D actions in the context of product improvement and/or methodologies for Ecodesign. This includes management of resources and budget respecting the quality, cost and delay of R&D deliverables. Develop innovative methodologies to be applied as a standard in the design process of rolling stock.Expertise continuous improvement main missions :
Apply Ecodesign instructions, process and guidelines provided by RSC Ecodesign Referent and CCN Leader Support Ecodesign referent and CCN leader for updating and developing expertise instructions, process and guidelines Support Ecodesign referent and CCN leader with continuous REX to improve the relevant methodologies Report to Ecodesign Referent and CCN leader burning issues (technical or methodological) Ensure training & awareness actions to non-Ecodesign people and/or to Ecodesign engineer Participate to implementation of Ecodesign policy Commit on ATSA standard Ecodesign data management tools utilisation and implementationKnowledge and experience :
Experienced Ecodesign Engineer / Material Engineer with environmental competencies / Engineer generalist with material competencies At least 5 years of experience in this area International standards and regulation knowledge for environmental issues (hazardous substances, environmental communication, energy efficiency, end-of-life ...) Knowledge of environmental assessment (LCA, bilan carbone ...) and related tools Good communication skills, po-activity, team working English conversational/writing/reading advanced level mandatory French conversational/reading advanced level is preferredYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
