At the heart of the Traveler for Amadeus Businesses, we partner with innovative solutions and platforms (Traveler-DNA, Data Platform & Airlines Technology) to develop world-class customer loyalty solutions, a key area of growth for Airlines IT.
A loyalty program focuses on customer attraction and retention, by offering perks to selected customers to foster brand loyalty.
It is also very efficient at customer monetization, engaging customers with benefits, and cashing back by selling customer influence and incentives to partners willing to advertise goods or services.
Customer loyalty today is a very profitable business: points-based transactions represent more than 50% of the total airline ancillary revenues. Major loyalty programs are now larger than the airlines that initiated them, thanks to the leverage effect of non-air partners (hotels, banks, retailing…) ready to pay a premium to get a privileged access to one of the most valuable customer base in the world: the so-called “frequent flyers”.
With 40+ customers on our current loyalty system inherited from an external acquisition, Amadeus Loyalty is a key player in its domain.
Your Main Responsibilities
Common accountabilities
Have working experience and advanced and specialized technical/functional knowledge in your discipline.
Understand how your area contributes to the business.
Act as a reference for colleagues with less experience and support junior team members.
Influence decisions related to your activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios.
Contribute to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and are accountable for your and your team's commitments.
Work independently within management guidelines, with some guidance on very complex situations.
Specific accountabilities:
Build and animate the loyalty UI community.
We are building a UI community for the loyalty division; it will need a leader to manage it and train the new UI developers.
Work with UX specialists
We are trying to include UX studies in our standard process, you will have to coordinate with them.
Analyze specifications.
Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.
Design systems and code
Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
Develop software according to Amadeus standards.
Model, design and implement databases.
Test and maintain the software.
Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst
Document your work.
Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
