Your responsibilities:
As Molecular Designer in Crop Protection, you will have to ensure the following tasks:
Work as an enthusiastic researcher in a dynamic and scientifically exciting global network covering agro and pharma, combining in silico and wet lab chemical research. Propose and design new and diverse molecules with fungicidal activity and high agronomic potential, and synthetic strategies to realize them by integrating digital technologies with chemistry science. Be familiar and develop the use of new digital technologies such as Deep Learning / Machine Learning, chemo-informatics, molecular modeling for the design of molecules based on hypotheses in order to identify and optimize innovative active ingredients for crop protection. Actively contribute to the evaluation and optimization of classes of innovative molecules, going beyond current standards of sustainability and performance Join an empowered team of internal and/or external chemists, closely interacting with other scientific disciplines in a global R&D organization Develop yourself and your teammates via continuous learning and feedback Ensure high safety standards and compliant action, always taking into account laws, regulations and directives including assessment and evaluation of potential risksYour profile:
You have an international scientific education in Organic Chemistry (PhD level or equivalent). You have a good track record in applying modern Data Science approaches (Structure-based design, Deep Learning, Machine Learning...) to different aspects in chemical research (e.g. synthesis, hit finding, hit optimization, …). You have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as intercultural knowledge and understanding. You are eager to learn, able to solve problems and structure complex tasks. You can inspire and motivate colleagues with a profound sense of accountability. You can be bold and embrace change. You are passionate about work in multidisciplinary teams. Fluency in English is required, basic knowledge in French and/or German are appreciated.Why You Should apply:
