As a Mechanical Development Engineer at Rayce in Saint-Louis, you will be working on advanced development projects with a potential network-wide reach. Applying primarily your mechanical skills, you will be collaborating in projects involving multi-physics and/or mechatronics. Your missions will include CAD-Design, Prototype building & testing including quality control and documentation. You like to get things done and to ensure that tasks are fulfilled. In your work you are self-driven and autonomous, willing to support where necessary. You will be confronted to a startup/Agile mindset, but also to the spirit of a global enterprise. At Rayce, you will experience working in an international and intercultural team.
Role and responsibilities
Develop new components, assemblies & processes Assemble demonstrators, prototypes, test set ups and operate required equipment Contribute to 5S and quality initiatives Contribute to the technical validation of demonstrators and prototypes Document the progress of developments and related test results Participate in team solution finding and creative brainstorming sessions Contribute to knowledge build up and transfer of expertise within the company and ARaymond network
Education and experience
State-certified Technician or Bachelor’s degree in a related field of engineering Experience of 2 to 3 years in a related industrial environment preferred Technical apprenticeship or proven hands-on skills appreciated
Skills
SKILLS REQUIRED
Proficiency in utilization of 3D CAD Software. Preferably PTC Creo Proficiency in testing, prototyping and basic metrology methodologies Proficiency in using power and hand tools Familiar with plastic and metal processing technologies Good communication skills Basic electrical and programming skills appreciated Know-how in agile development methods appreciatedMINDSET
Get-It-Done Mindset Autonomous and well organized Curious and motivated Eagerness to learn and self-teach Ability to work with international teams Ability to travel locally and internationally as requiredLANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
